About Us
Over a Decade Later, Our Minority-Owned Firm Continues to Grow
Our Arizona Lawyers Deliver Sophisticated Legal Solutions
Most law firms treat their clients like one-off cases. They don’t take the time to get to know their clients and they don’t partner with them in order to work toward long-term success and proactive solutions. That’s why Farhang & Medcoff was founded: to address the gap between what clients need and what typical law firms provide. Founded over a decade ago, Farhang & Medcoff’s mission is to deliver exceptional legal guidance and quality representation with a client-focused mindset.
Many law firms claim to be diverse, but at Farhang & Medcoff, we actually are. We are a minority-owned firm founded by Ali Farhang and Timothy Medcoff in 2008. As a first generation immigrant of Iranian-born parents, Ali Farhang has an atypical background for a lawyer. Timothy Medcoff’s parents met in Vietnam, and as the son of a servicemember, Timothy quickly became accustomed to frequent moves. Both men worked hard to achieve their American Dream, and now they dedicate their law firm to helping other business leaders achieve theirs.
We Stand for Integrity, Innovation, and Legal Excellence
At Farhang & Medcoff, our Arizona lawyers are uncompromising about our mission and our values. We believe in doing right by our clients, giving each case our personalized attention, and developing innovative legal strategies that bring favorable results. As a minority-owned firm, we embrace and celebrate diversity—not just of background, but also of perspective, as diversity drives innovation and banishes one-sided thinking.
We’re also genuinely committed to giving back to the communities we serve. Each of our lawyers takes the time to contribute to community-minded causes. We support a number of local organizations, including the Arizona Bowl and the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. As a designated Patriotic Employer, we’re committed to supporting military families, and we frequently perform pro bono legal services for just causes.
