At Farhang & Medcoff, we believe that showing up for our community means showing up for the people who serve it. That is why we are proud to help spread the word about the Davis-Monthan Adopt-an-Airman Program, an initiative that connects young Airmen with local host families right here in Tucson.
Managing Partner Tim Medcoff knows firsthand how much the military means to this community and to his own story.
“I routinely give back to the Airmen of Davis-Monthan because I would not exist but for the military. My dad enlisted and met my mother in Vietnam. If you are interested in helping our local Airmen, please consider participating in the Adopt-an-Airman Program.”—Tim Medcoff
What Is the Adopt-an-Airman Program?
Many first-term Airmen stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base are away from home for the very first time. The Adopt-an-Airman Program pairs these service members with welcoming local families who can offer a true home-away-from-home experience. Host families provide mentorship, friendship, and a positive environment outside of the workplace and dormitories. It is a simple but powerful way to make a meaningful difference in the life of someone who is serving our country.
How to Get Involved
If you or someone in your network is interested in becoming a host family, you can apply directly through the official program application here: Apply to Become a Host Family

Tucson has always been a community that takes care of its own. We encourage you to share this opportunity within your networks, organizations, and across the broader community. Together, we can make sure our Airmen know they have a home here.
